In this 3 hour class you'll learn....- basic knife skills- food safety & kitchen hygiene- how to cook on a budget with tips for food shopping & what to look out for- how to follow a recipe- essential kitchen equipment list- we'll make two basic dishes in the class...- Spaghetti Bolognese (showing how to cook dry pasta, prep veggies and create a base tomato sauce from scratch which can be adapted to make chilli con carne, a simple pasta sauce, and informed on the use of leftovers to create a simple pasta bake)- Fish pie - teaching you how to make the perfect mash potato)- enjoy a taster of each dish in the class, and leave with 2 dishes to enjoy at home.
